Humanscape is an ongoing series of experimental prints, drawing, and book art, which presents Eunkang Kohs social commentary on the human condition. Koh considers how we as humans view ourselves as dominant creatures, with little consciousness of how we are also a part of a larger ecological system. Kohs work acknowledges that humans are also animals with many of the same instincts. Using satirical and metaphorical representations, she depicts humans as hybrid creatures existing in an imagined, illusionary world. These characters contain ironic gestures that simultaneously evoke humor and the grotesque.
