Versadriver

- $10 (US, estimated)
I finally found a pocket-sized driver set that isnt afraid of major appliances. The Versadrivers carabiner-shaped handle folds flat and strategically placed detents let you change your grip, trading speed for torque when necessary.Customize the included set of bits with your own oddball favorites and youre ready to rock. The perfect complement is the equally handy Palm Pal wrench, which lets you tackle bolts from 3/8-inch down to 8mm (just flip over to change from SAE to metric), and it fits right in the Versadrivers tiny pouch.

Hi Random -
I'm a huge fan of Cool Tools (I bought the book as soon as it was available) and I built out most of what you see functionality-wise with TNT.
I don't think it's really fair to call TNT a rip-off of Cool Tools. There are hundreds of publications that do product reviews. One of the ways Kevin Kelly's Cool Tools distinguishes itself by its strong editorial voice; as Kelly notes "I post things I like and I ignore the rest."
Product reviews have appeared in MAKE since Volume 01, and we've always talked about brining that online and expanding it. We hope to distinguish TNT by inviting community-submitted tools AND tips (though we haven't entered many tips ourselves yet), and by providing a feedback area for each to foster discussion. Eventually I'd like to add a rating system so that others can indicate their opinions of a particular tool. (Actually, I hope to eventually use this the way I use amazon.com now -- to compare items and see what others think of them -- but with a real Maker influence).
Anyone who's browsing through TNT owes it to themselves to visit Cool Tools. I hope that TNT will be a good complement to that.
