Self-Driving R/C Car Parks Itself Just Like a Lexus

Self-driving cars are in the news almost daily, but they are not exactly in my automotive budget for this decade. Today, that has changed. While this car might be smaller and not capable of giving me a ride, it’s still autonomous and, best of all, it is a project that I absolutely want to build! The […]

Biometric Golf Cart Security System

If you live in an area where golf carts are used to get around like Youtuber “ramicaza,” you might consider carrying a key around for your golf cart a hassle. I suppose one could simply install a switch instead of the key to start the vehicle up, but if you would like some semblance of […]

Arduino Shield Makes 8-Pin Chip Programming a Snap

I was delighted to see the positive reaction to my latest video, Shrinkify Your Arduino Projects, which is based on a tutorial by MIT Media Lab’s High-Low Tech Group. Their tutorial walks you through the process of not only using the Arduino as a programmer for 8-pin ATtiny chips, but also how to use Arduino code and the Arduino IDE to program them. In order to make this process easier, Randy Sarafan created an Arduino shield for programming these diminutive chips. Head over to his Instructable to get the board and learn to build your own!
