How does this work?

After you sign up for the camp, you are welcomed to the community and asked to post a quick introduction. Material in the camp is presented through a combination of video, handouts and Google hangouts, depending on what will work best for the content. Each lecture has a project to complete. You can post questions in the community or visit a teacher  online during office hours. Each camp ends with the final project that you can share with your classmates. When you finish the camp you get a certificate of completion.

What if I don’t like the course?

Maker Media and our  platform provider, Udemy,  have a 30 day money back guarantee. If you don’t like the course, you get your money back.

How much time does it take?

It depends. The camp itself is designed to be a series of three one hour lectures and a final presentation that lasts 90 minutes.   Each lecture comes with a project that might take an hour or so.  Your final project is completely up to you. Most students spend between 8 and 12 hours over four weeks on the camp and the projects.

Can I teach a camp?

Quite possibly. We select courses based on the expertise of the teacher and whether or not we can get a large enough group of students interested in the topic.  To  start the process, complete the form under the Suggest a Course tab above. We will be back with you shortly.

Do you have courses that are shorter than one month?

We are working on a variety of courses. The length of the course is generally dictated by the amount and complexity of the material. We find it harder to do project-based courses in shorter time frames.
