After examining the picture I’m pretty damn positive that it’s fake. The biggest giveaway? The latch is off-center. Totally a photoshop job.

Absolutely a Photoshop job. Look at the right of the wide-screen iBook. About 1/2 way up the screen you can see where the faker smudged the clean line of the edge of the lcd and it is bent inward somewhat. From there up there is a faint black line. Looks like he was in too much of a hurry.
Doesn’t mean we won’t be getting widescreen iBooks, just that THIS image is a fake.
