Ian writes – “3D images created using Google Earth – an image is taken, then a second image slightly rotated to one side. These are then blended to create 3D photos. Some work well (I think St Helens is the best one) and some are not so good.” – [via] Link.

  1. Hi, I have tried this with own-made animations and also google earth exports, just the method is different, i used mirror for placing the two eye wievs into the same place, it is easier to try at home and the result is amazing. Check my discussion, jpeg and avi and samples at http://www.instructables.com/id/EDO2RQCF6PC9K6B/

Just downloaded World Wind mentioned here by monopole, and gonna try it. It would be the nicest to use an original, profi openGL engine on 2 head videocard, with adjustable eyeball distance and focus.
