Fred Hunt from has a great review of the Alphacool watercooling starter kit – “Take a PC full of expensive, complicated, electricity-driven parts, add about half a litre of water in aquarium tubing and plug it into the mains electricity supply. Up until a few years ago many would have laughed at such thoughtless bravado, quoting the school-taught fear of lethal electrocution. Nowadays most enthusiasts are familiar with the concept of watercooling, but the sheer complexity of the systems and their installation can be mind-boggling to say the least.”Link.

Whats the deal with these posts? This is a lame review of some crappy watercooling kit. What does this have to do with MAKE magazine, DIY, arts & crafts, or HOW-TO Entries? This review and every other review that has been posted are not of any value to the MAKE community. This looks like a traffic generating venture, since the product at hand is “literally assembled out of components available separately.”

Here would be a better site for Makers:
With articles like “How Cheaply Can You Cool a CPU With Water?” and “My Passive Watercooling System “, you can see that this is more MAKE than PT’s plug for

i’ll post that up – thanks.

we cover a lot of kits, and this one was the first watercool kit i’ve seen. building computers, case mods, reviews, gadgets, they’re all part of make.
