More waterjets and 3D objects

Simon from BigBlueSaw writes “Lamina Design has software that lets you turn interesting 3D designs made in Rhino or other CAD software into wonderful 3D objects that can be made on a waterjet.” [via] – Link.

  1. agreed Sonic, it looks a little too flexible for my pockets, maybe a dip, epoxy on a nice backer of plastic, and a few more dips for good measure.

Or even epoxy then dip a handful or so of times.

  2. Neat. But lately I’ve found that the PQI I-stick can’t be beat for size. It’s 2mm thick and the length is 2 pennies side by side. It comes with a “holder” that fits in your wallet or I just carry mine in the normal USB shell, which is pretty small too. When I find a USB slot that the shell won’t fit (laptops, argh and some dell pcs) I pull it out of it’s shell and there’s no space it can’t fit!

  3. I am with beakmyn on this one. My gadgeteer self beats down my maker self and says “just buy it” :D
PQI and Pretec make some real minis while still having enough shell to protect them.

GIS: i-disk tiny or i-disk diamond

I like the look of that dip stuff tho!
