Peter writes “Here’s a hands-on with Jaycar’s DIY digital SLR cable release kit, for producing timelapse photography, with a first experiment in photographing dyed melting ice. This is first in a series by my friend Jaymis Loveday called “Timelapse Lab”, and he’s already learning some things the hard way by experimentation (so we don’t have to)!”Link.

  1. If you drive it outside your workshop, are there roaming charges?

If you drive out of range and it drops the RC signal, do you get free minutes?

If you crash it, will it call a wrecker?

    Sorry, had to ask.

  2. Ah, the genuine mobile phone.

We did something similar for a British children’s TV show a couple of years ago, with amusing results — though best of all was the radio-control pot plant, which lurched around in a remarkably Rangdo-like manner. Blurry pictures here.
