Very cool. Literally. The supports for the slabs are steel beams attached to those steel columns you see outside the house. There is no thermal barrier. This is Boston, remember, and it gets quite cold. The steel sucks the heat right out of the house and the beams were quite cold where they entered the house. Solution? Heat the beams on the inside. Good grief.
