So do I have to pay to look at it?

Whats the point of posting it here then?

  2. philliptorrone says:

    you could:
    -go to a bookstore
-sign up for a free issue
    -go to the library

or just buy a copy (i did!)

Japroach, because Nuts & Volts is something of interest to the Make: target audience. Very little posted about here (or in live in general) comes at absolutely no cost. Sheesh. Thanks for the interesting post, Phillip! :-)

Yes you are correct I could buy it, etc. and it does look like it has interesting topics.

But then why not post the Make related topics of every other pay magazine? See what I’m trying to say?

It would be cool if they had a free pdf version(a fair amount of magazines do), then at least there is easy access to the information.

i try and cover everything that is MAKE releated, including other magazines… i think that’s why a lot of maker-types like the site here.

what other magazines have free PDF versions? can you post some links here?

Alright you got me, its just annoying to see some really interesting article then click and all you get is 5 headers with some small pictures..

Some other magazines (www.siliconchip.com.au) have a few free articles, and small samples of the pay ones. Although their subscription rates are very steep.

http://www.tradepub.com has some free print/digital subscriptions, favorites would be http://www.edn.com and http://www.designnews.com

its cheap and easy to get a copy – support cool content, and magazines :)
