MAKE Flickr photo pool member Aaronazz made a really interesting adaptor for his camera, the footage shot with it is beautiful (A DOF is a “depth of field” adaptor to get film-like results from a camera) – photos, link & video.

  1. Iteki says:

That’s a beautiful hack and some gorgeous footage!
    Now come my dumbass questions.

Does the adaptor give the “light quality” you have going on in the footage? Or does it just allow you to switch focus depth? How do you get the fantastic oversaturated kind of quality of light? Is that post-processing?
Can you get that “look” with a regular consumer level camcorder or are you using pro-sumer level stuff?

/signed newbie who fell for the image quality
