“This is a great book that is no longer in print that shows how to build everything from a log cabin to a wooden bugle. Even if you can’t build some of the things in this book it still can flood the imagination with great ideas.”Link.

  1. This book is awesome. I love just how much of an undertaking most of the projects in there are. I built a tree fort or two in my childhood, but a log cabin?

Makes me sad though, as a lot of the book says things like “use your common sense.” Remember those days? remember common sense?

    sigh.

  2. Gutenberg.org has a book called “The Scientific American Boy” that has all kinds of constructions like these. The pdf has images.
