Alright, so we only received one Superbowl 41 related project, so it’s our duty to post Paul’s article about building a stadium seating setup just in time for the Superbowl.. complete with a time lapse video, Paul writes –
Over the last month my roommates and I have been planning on building some means for having stadium seating in our living room. The living room isn’t too spacious and only had enough room for two futons. So, just in time for Superbowl Sunday, Chris and I have created a cheap deck for stadium seating. All it required was plywood, 4×4 & 2×4 wood, a box of wood screws and basic tools.
In hindsight, we probably should have measured things more than once. I showed this video to my architect sister and she said it lacked structure.

My nine-year-old son and I went tobogganing. Way better than watching some silly football game. :-) Especially when we discovered that someone had built a jump at the bottom of the hill.
I watched the game, but I would have rather gone sledding with Gordon — very cool! (And this is coming from a big football fan.)

The top platform is 4 feet tall, the one in front of it is 2 feet tall, and the bottom couch had its legs removed. We have a scrounged projector above the top couch giving us a 6 foor screen ona blank wall.
this reminds me of the time i went to a party where the guy who owned the house was obssesed with the the two old guys from the muppets. He had build something like this (maybe taller) and sat on it all night getting drunk providing sarcastic commentry just like waldorf and the other one (whose name i never remember).

Thats really awesome, I have the same setup at my house. I generally watch lots of movies, at my place, and I was joking with some friends about creating a double decker couch, we were going to just remove the legs of these twin couches and stack them like bunk beds, but opted to go this route. After a few odd party fowls, it is a rule that all drunk people sit on the bottom. That rule is flexible depending on how well you wish to be entertained.
