My friend loves to ride his bike and he takes photos all the time so for his birthday I thought a handlebar camera mount would be perfect. I managed to make it from parts I had in my spares box and some normal workshop hardware.

– An old speedometer mount
– Pond Liner Scraps
– 4″ Roofer
– A Nut
– A couple of washers

Take the bolt out of the speedometer mount and drill the hole so the big 4″ roofer will fit. Wrap the pnd liner scraps round the handlebar and then wrap the handlebar mount around them. Thread the 4″ roofer through the speedometer mount drop the washers on the bolt and thread the nut on. Bingo start snapping or filming while on your bike.

Nice to see something I could manage with six thumbs but I wonder if I should mount my new canon 30d on the bars of my MTB with this. Maybe some shocks would be a good thing?

    all the best
