Mark sent in his “little” project with a L-4 Grasshopper thrown in to boot – wow, there are a lot of makers restoring planes! – Link.

Are you a maker that restores planes? Post up the comments!

  1. This is like the work aircraft restoration volunteers are doing at the USS Midway Museum in San Diego. They recently finished restoring a Douglas Dauntless (SBD) that was at the bottom of Lake Michigan for about 60 years. You can’t tell it ever left the factory floor, although I don’t know if it’s flyable.

I’m a volunteer in the exhibits department there, and I’m in the process of making a 1961 vintage Univac computer look like it’s running.
