Gijs Gieskes is a Dutch hacker and circuit-bender who’s built this automated kaleidoscope machine with interchangeable optics barrels. He uses it to create visuals for his GameBoy music concerts.

    Yeah, but the pictures are different and now there’s a video.

    I have to admit, when I started watching the video (without reading anything else), I thought this was a pretty stupid and pointless gadget, but when I realized it was integrated with the camera for real-time graphics and saw the really cool results toward the end of the video, I was really impressed. Very cool.
