I can’t wait to see what’s next from MAKE. DIY pepper spray? Zip guns? IEDs? Maybe you could roll all of this up into a special “Self Defense” issue! Better yet, why not spin off a new publication “Destroy: Technology For Doing Time.” I’ll bet “Soldier of Fortune” would be interested in a partnership with O’Reilly… ;-)

    how about:

“break: technology that’s outlived its time”
“ache: i shouldn’t have made that cell taser”
“take: shoplifters of the world unite”

This looks perfect for taking with you on flights.

I bet that would really annoy a charging mouse, or even wake up someone.

BTW a taser shoots the electrodes, that is a stun gun, a very weak one judging from the video.

What a top notch video that was, even if the make itself sucked ———-, the production value was huge.

Why on earth is Make: posting this kind of crap?

  7. philliptorrone says:

@gear_head – i can tell you why i posted it… i really thought the idea of modding a camera phone like the k800i is interesting. with a few simple mods you have a stun-gun / taser like device. not all camera phones have a flash like this, i’ll be on the look out for one and will experiment a bit, i’m sure others will too.
