Hard drive shows its content on the outside

How many external hard drives do you have? If you’re like me, you probably have a few strewn around your desk and don’t really have an easy way of knowing a.) how full they are and b.) what contents they are holding. The “IVY” attempts to unclutter your desk with an OLED skin that represents the data saved on the drive. Just be sure you don’t confuse your disk with a colorful drink coaster.

Really cool. So, how do you make it? I did not see any instructions.

  2. Michael says:

There’s no instructions because it’s fake. It’s just an university industrial design site where an imaginary product is marketed. A lot of these show up here.

I assume the different sized boxes represent folder or file sizes. If they were color coded by file type would be nice… Something like this perhaps? http://windirstat.info/images/windirstat.jpg

Says they got the ideal from Sequoia View.

    Looks similar to windirstat.
