HOW TO – Flat Pack Desk

Craft & Design

Dave Rocamora made a simple desk out of a single sheet of plywood and some steel rod, and he published an instructable about it. This would be a great beginner’s woodworking project as it is made from simple materials and with simple tools. It’s designed to be stored flat for frequent movers or periodic use.

Neat project – I can see making one of these for a work table. It’d look pretty good stained and clear-coated, or painted. With a little playing with the dimensions, you might even be able to do away with the metal rod and use a piece of plywood to lock it all together…

If you want to build this handy desk, you may first want to check out an informational article called, “What You Need To Build Flat Pack”.
Then you’ll be on your way to a successful build!
