If you’re headed out for Stitches West in Santa Clara, CA next week, don’t miss your chance to meet Vickie Howell as she hosts a knit fashion show previewing some of the earth-friendly yarn of South West Trading Company (SWTC) from 11:45am – 12:45pm on Friday Feb 22nd. I will be there covering the event for the CRAFT blog.
From the site:
Howell and SWTC stylist Lena Walker Smith, a former model and trained fashion advisor, will present five popular knitwear designs: a tunic, a long jacket, a v-neck vest, a cropped kimono and an ascot. Each garment will be modeled by different body types and accessorized to create two very different looks. Howell and Walker Smith will discuss each ensemble in detail, explaining why and how each piece was chosen to complement the model’s shape and produce the desired style.
Tickets for Vickie Howell’s event are $15 and can be purchased online at or at the registration desk inside the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara, mezzanine level. (Note: This ticket is for the fashion show event and is separate from the Stitches West Market.) – Link.
