Fun tech-strategy game spotted @ the NYC Toy fair 2008 – Khet combines lasers with strategy, it’s sorta like chess/checkers but set in an Egyptian-themed board with pieces having two, one or no mirrored surfaces. There are two small class II lasers, you try and destroy the other pieces by bouncing the beam on to your opponent’s pieces. The goal is to illuminate your opponent’s pharaoh, while shielding yours from harm.

  1. I have that. It’s fun for a while, but the pieces don’t line up accurately enough for really complicated shots.

  2. i also have this, and its really cool. i agree that the truly complicated shots aren’t really possible because of the inaccurate laser. but, this game is still awesome, and if you are a smoker, or have a smoke machine or something, it makes the game even cooler because you can see the laser cut through the smoke when you shoot. we played this in college a lot, and its tons of fun. especially when you vary the rules to your own liking.
