MAKE will be at the Robo Business 2008 conference April 8th to the 9th and then on the 10th will likely hit the Andy Warhol museum as well as hoping to meet up with some Pittsburgh, PA Makers – post up in the comments if you’re around and/or want to meet up!

I can’t make it to the con because of work but if there was any kind of meet up one evening that would be great.
You should check out the robotics institute at CMU.
And the Carnegie Art Museum has a cool permanent collection.

If you’re still going to be around on the 10th, you should drop by DevHouse (http://devhousepgh.org). Some local makers will be there, including people from Interbots. I’d also recommend dropping by the nearby CMU ETC.
A cute little robot that looks a bit like a very small dog. It moves about on three multi-directional wheels and has a swiveling head that houses a camera, microphone and speaker. Its coolest feature is that it connects to the home wi-fi router, which lets the user control it from any computer with an internet connection. That means the user can roll the Rovio around their home and see what’s going on while sitting at their desk at work.
