TreeHugger has a great article on Brazilian designer Carlos Motta who has been creating unique reclaimed-wood furniture since the 70’s, like this rocking chair above. Motta makes his pieces he finds from washed up wood that finds its way on the beachy Sao Paulo shore.

  1. Wood crafts make great decorations and gifts, and painting unfinished wood crafts can be a great way to spend a snowy holiday afternoon with the grandchildren.

  2. Is this really a rocking chair? Because it does not look like one. It is far from the classic rocking chair that we see more often.
