Here’s a neat idea, make a lamp from an old connectiong rod / piston.

I like the combination, but to be clear, is a connecting rod lamp, not a piston lamp. (The source gets it right.)
I think a nice addition would be a clip or some such to keep the cord from coming off at such an obvious angle.
I would be interested in knowing what that rod is out of. The bearing area is huge, as most pistons would not have a chance of holding up the lamp portion. I find it interesting that the rod has a four bolt cap, but the short rod length is indicative of a high rpm, low torque motor.
