Craftaluma Recap
CRAFT’s Ginny Robinson and Sherry Huss worked the CRAFT table at Sunday’s first ever Craftaluma fair in Petaluma, CA, hosted by the Petalluma Craft Mafia. Pictured above clockwise: Sherry at the CRAFT table, a close up of the knit chicken and egg, Tally of Little Purls in her awesome knit jewelry, and a photo of the table before the doors opened.
Ginny writes:

Crafters. Music. Hotdogs. Facepainting. The premiere Craftaluma event in Petaluma yesterday was a totally laid back show with a kicky circus theme.
Craft occupied the lobby entrance in the Petaluma Veteran’s Memorial Hall. The Craft: 06 Chicken and Egg project graced the Craft table — a nod to Petaluma’s history as the “Egg Capital of the World”. We met a few Craft first timers, a few loyal subscribers and often- loyal craftzine fans. Nice to have an indie craft show in our own backyard, and looking forward to what the folks from Petaluma Craft Mafia come up with next!

Kudos to these gals for putting the day on. It was a wonderful event and such a change to go to a craft show and find only things that were made here not imported for resale. Gotta love those edgy tees from Juror2.

It was a wonderful event, a bit small, but worth the trek to Petaluma. Some of the crafters were really brilliant, others were showing stuff more suited to a church sale. I would have liked to have seen more signage from the street and press for the event. The live music and raffle was fantastic.
