While I fully support the DIY ethos, and this looks cool, I just have to mention that one has to be *extremely* cautious when charging lipo batteries.

Charging is the most dangerous mode for lipo’s, and must be done at the rate (volts and amps) specified by the manufacturer, or your house is likely to burn down.

“what, from that little battery” you ask?

Yes, thermite grenades are small too, and do the job just fine. Check the youtube videos out, some aren’t too impressive, others are “holy crap!” big. Also, it’s an intense fire that you’re not going to put out easily, similar to a phosphorus marine emergency flare(don’t ask how I know that). So since I’m now a Lipo user, I have the responsibility to put the little monsters into a fireproof box before I charge them. Ammo can works, just don’t short anything, that’s another big no-no. These batteries have huge power, treat them with the respect you would an armed bear.
