I would think you might get less vibration by mounting on something more secure to the body, like the above door handles on most cars, rather than the head rest on the seat.

Provided that the seat and mounts are in good shape, the headrest posts give a very realistic mount for a video. Tried a dash cam and tied-down-tripod with poor results.
Bungee cords, 1×1 piece of wood, 1.25″ (1 1/4) bolt and two washers. drill one hole, setup, and video.
Mebbie the cords perform a vibration reducing function……
I think the video on fast-forward plus bumps and stuff on the road made it look unstable, but I imagine the camera being still/stable with those u-bolts + wingnuts.
