Nathan Seidle of Spark Fun Electronics (interview)

There are a lot of articles coming out soon about open source hardware, the “DIY trend” and a whole bunch of exciting things, here’s an interview with Nathan Seidle of Spark Fun Electronics. Once and a while there is criticism that there “isn’t any money” in the DIY world, what’s actually happening is there are many businesses thriving, but since they’re not Web 2.0-ish or Facebook apps they’re often overlooked or not understood.

Nathan Seidle is 27 years old. He started the company in his student apartment in 2003, at the age of 21. Sparkfun grew to become one of the largest online electronic component stores, with $3.8M in sales in 2007, and 39 employees as of April 2008.

Congrats SparkFun!

it’s “once in a while” not “once and awhile”

Also, shouldn’t that be “isn’t any money” rather than “it’s any money” or is it a quote from something specific?
