Energy Conservation Tips & Techniques for the Home
Guest presenter: Miki Cook, Austin Energy’s Green Building Program
Wednesday, September 17th at 7pm
Casa de Luz (1701 Toomey Rd.)

As the second part of our “Tips & Techniques” series (July’s topic was water conservation), we will explore the many and varied ways to save energy in our homes. To get the discussion started, Miki Beacom Cook, with Austin Energy Green Building’s Single-Family Program, will give a presentation describing the biggest energy users in our homes, small and large changes we can make to impact our energy usage and reduce our carbon footprint, as well as how Austin Energy support these efforts through rebates, low-interest loans, and free assistance to their customers.

Come and share your tips and techniques for being an energy-conserving citizen, and leave with some new ways to improve your performance and that of your home.

This presentation is free, but modest donations at the door are gratefully accepted. No reservation required. For more information contact Gayle at gayle@designbuildlive.org or 512-478-9033. Delicious macrobiotic dinners are served at Casa starting at 6:00 pm ($8 – $12).

Don’t know who wrote that copy, but I’d really expect you guys to know the difference between silicone and silicon!
