    1. @Troy – Nope. I was surprised at how easy it was to remove. Even thought it’s hot glue it’s sprayed in such a tiny stream that it actually wipes up and rolls up into a ball very easily. I had that ladder completely cleaned up in about 30 seconds.

  1. While that is an impressive assembly to create cobwebs, a far cheaper and easier setup can do just as good a job without having to buy/own a compressor. All it takes is a drill, a threaded rod, some nuts, a margarine tub and contact cement.

Punch a hole in the bottom of the tub large enough for the threaded rod. Put two nuts on the rod with a rubber washer, place the margarine tub on the rod with another rubber washer and two more bolt to hold it secure. Cut a few short slots in the face of the margarine tub lid, near the edge. Place the threaded rod in the chuck with the bottom of the tub closest to the drill’s chuck. Put some contact cement into the tub and put the lid back on with a bit of tape to hold it securely. Run the drill and centrifugal force will propel strands of cement out of the slots in the lid, creating equally good cobwebs without the expense or technical requirements.

Sure you don’t get to spent money at the hardware store and it takes minutes as opposed to hours but you can’t have everything ;-)

  2. Really, What a cool project! The video is self explanatory. It also seems it is really not so tough and at the same time is interesting too.
