  1. I like the idea. I would be concerned about the birds chewing on the paint and getting sick. I know with my parrots I have to be careful with the powder coating on their cages.

  2. I’ve seen fancy bird cages and appreciate the craftsmanship put into those.
But this is the coolest adaptation into a bird cage I have ever seen. Kudos to the one who dreamed it up and made it work.

  3. Wow, who is going to make me one? I am too small to wear a tool belt – or am I??! (And yes, not only would you have to be careful about the finish, but about the spacing of the bars, etc. But assuming all of that were proper, imagine what a beautiful aviary/flight cage this would be! I am imagining it in my little brain right now!)

  4. I used the plans on http://www.EasyAviary.info and built my bird an aviary VERY cheap and easily! It was the best decision I’ve ever made for her. To my family and I, it just made economic sense to build a DIY aviary. We spent a fraction of the cost of buying an expensive pre-built one that just have to be assembled anyway…why pay inflated prices for material? The guide on that website is so very easy to follow and it doesn’t matter if you’re a total beginner like us. We were on a very small budget and found so many wonderful plans for our aviary…it was hard to pick just one, but the one we chose is terrific! We actually built the one that is featured on the website’s homepage. Our bird finally has the aviary we’ve dreamed of and it was VERY affordable!
