    I’d think that having lasers mounted like that where they’re very likely to sweep the audience would run afoul of the various laser-radiation rules. Things like commercial laser sweeps have to be positioned very carefully to *never* cross the audience, and I’m sure touring groups get randomly inspected to confirm this, just as they would for any other rigging-safety issue (e.g. failsafe hooks on lighting fixtures, etc)…
