I love how Tina of Celestina Carmen personalized her standard black datebook with touches of embroidery. She mentioned that her fingers were a bit sore after stitching through the heavy cover, but I think it was well worth the effort.

So beautiful! It might be a good idea to pre-punch the embroidery holes with an awl. It would take some planning, but it would save your wrists!
