My husband is a huge fan of The Cure (no, really… we have lyrics from a Cure song engraved in our wedding bands), and I can’t wait to show him this rad embroidered Robert Smith Portrait pillow from Shannon Genova-Scudder, aka GigglyMama. Shannon has loads of incredible embroidered portraits of famous folks, but this Robert Smith one is my absolute favorite. [via Mr. X Stitch]

That’s pretty cool.
But I have to ask: What lyrics did you engrave?
Some friends used “Pictures of You” as their recessional…they thought it was a romantic song O_o
We have “I will always love you” from Love Song, so … not *too* creative, but it’s nice. ;) Actually, they engraved the inside of mine wrong. It says, “I will love you always.” On our first anniversary, my husband gave me a locket that had the lyrics correctly engraved on the back. It’s a running joke.
When I first heard Letters to Elise it was the remix version, and for a while I thought it was a really happy song. I think part of it was because I was associating it with happy times/people, but the music also seemed light and pleasant to me, so I viewed it as a happy song. Uhhhhh … not so much. ;)
