Mediamatic‘s knitting machine hacks are getting out of control this November in Amsterdam. Untitled Sock Project is a circular knitting machine controlled by blowing into a straw. By Luís Brandaõ, Fábio Costa, Sean Follmer, and Pol Pla:

By blowing into straws visitors contribute to create a knitted sock. Depending on how hard they blow and the straw they blow into, the sock will be knitted faster and the thread will be colored with different pigments. The result will be a collaboratively knitted sock lamp with a unique color pattern.
