Thanks to maker DannyBR, with the addition of a quarter-inch hole, the ever useful binder clip has acquired a new talent: smartphone tripod mount. [via LifeHacker]
I was looking for an economical solution to mounting my mobile phone on a table top tripod I have. After watching people come up with elaborate harnesses for their phones, it hit me. I use the largest binder clip I have and drilled a hole in the centre. Afterward, I can easily clamp my phone. My phone has a rubber case around it that will protect it, but I plan on buying some foam tape to place on the edges of the clip so it won’t scratch it.
