Maker Faire Detroit Call for Makers Announced

It’s that time of year again! The call for makers for Maker Faire Detroit has gone out today! You can get all the details over on the Maker Faire web site. Key pieces of information:

• Maker Faire Detroit: July 30-31, 2011
• Entry Open Date: March 22, 2011. Please enter early so we can reserve space for your exhibit
• Entry Close Date: June 1, 2011

For crafters, Handmade Detroit will once again return with a full-on craft fair on site. Details are still being worked out, so stay tuned to Craft for more information. The Maker Faire web site does contain info on food, commercial food, and overall commercial makers, if you think that label best describes you. I’ll report back on tonight’s town hall meeting at the Detroit Public Library.
