Interesting method of easily created art. A great project for kids. I could also see that it would be interesting to experiment with portraits and other representational subjects.
It looks like this map was inspired by Harry Beck’s tube map. Anyway, this looks like a fun project. At my day job, I work with GIS maps. It would be quite easy to take a map and print a template, including differently colored guides for nail points, to do something like this.
