I love scoring vintage wooden thread spools at thrift stores, but the thread on them is often too old and brittle to use for sewing. The Silly Pearl has a cute how-to for turning them into this handy cork board (and a few spool-based thumb tacks). The colors play off each other so nicely here!

This is a reprint of an old spool knitting manual from before WWI. It is intended for children so all of the projects are for dolls clothes, toys, etc.
