its my robot. made under 100 bucks.runs on arduino and servo shield. have inverse kinematics so you have to just give the co-ordinates and arm moves there http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6oTloTJHPA

I’ve seen the ABB flexpicker pancakes before but I only just noticed that the robots actually go wrong in the video.
At 1.28 the robot is placing pancakes on the middle conveyor in batches of 2, but it lifts a 3rd pancake and stacks it on top of the first one. Not a great advertisement for the vision system :P

The robots are cooperating. The first robot might stack one and 2 pancakes, The second will add 3 more to make 2 stacks of 3 pancakes. The final configuration is programmable too. Quite convincing I say :-)

What I don’t get is what happens to the pancakes between the oven exit where they are neatly arranged, and the robot input, but that’s another question :-)

So you must have missed where the pancakes come out in stacks of FOUR. You are assuming the robot has one only one purpose and that is to place pancakes in rows of two.
