How-To: Old School Lanyard Bracelets

Craft & Design

Jenni of I Spy DIY spent the hurricane weekend making these rad old school wrapped plastic bracelets. They remind me of summer camp crafts from the 80s, and I love the bright colors. Were you crafting during the hurricane?

I didn’t knit, but I did bake (lemon raspberry rolls from Joy the Baker) and make french toast. There was a lot of reading!

I was! I did some work on an embroidery project while catching up on recorded TV shows on Sunday.

Hey, I have that watch! I did some knitting, it’s the most soothing thing. I also napped–I was so tired from getting ready, and then (luckily) we didn’t lose power at all, we barely got rain, and the wind wasn’t even that bad (although half our state and 80% of our town has no power this morning, so it’s good we prepared).

I was lucky to be in an area where it wasn’t bad at all. We didn’t lose power, but we did get a lot of rain! I spent the weekend knitting from Anna Hrachovec’s new book, Teeny-Tiny MochiMochi :) I think my next trip to the craft store will definitely include Gimp!!

Those are great and they remind me of crafting I did in the ’60s! I loved making lanyards.
I’m in California so no hurricane, but I did some knitting on Saturday.
