It pains me to think that things from 1995 might be considered vintage… I picked up this I Can’t Believe I’m Crocheting! book today while running crafty errands. The title definitely made me giggle in the store.
What are some of your favorite crochet books?

Uh oh, I guess I’m vintage. I bought that same book brand new probably around 1996 or so… Taught me how to crochet, guess it worked! They have a “I Can’t Believe I’m Knitting!” booklet, too. :0)
I love vintage anything, and when I find old craft books and magazines, I snap them up!!!I have that book too, in different covers;)
I have my Grandmother’s 1924 & 25 Needlecraft magazines. True vintage, truely wonderful!
I have that book too–I bought it new in 2002/2003. The best thing about that book is the afghan. I made it while I worked nights, and it’s my favoritest blanket ever. I crocheted it with two strands at once, so it’s exceptionally warm!
I had to speak up for this silly looking booklet. I bought it new in the 2000’s. It looks corny on the cover, but inside are absolutely excellent instructions for learning crochet. I learned my favorite hobby from this book, but I will never ever make a striped vest like that. Leisure Arts has top notch instructions in their often corny looking publications.
This is how I learned crochet! I bought the book store at a thrift store in December last year. It’s the only book I’ve ever used. Usually I just look at videos on YouTube now.
