DetroitGT is Christopher Gorski’s line of Detroit-centric gear and clothing sold from the back of this nicely rebuilt 1979 Chevy P10 Step Van. I love food trucks and mobile shops and DetroitGT is a great example.

Dywayne Neeley is the president of the 60 member East Side Riders bike repair and modding group. He’s also the owner of this great bike grill/grill bike.

Matt Oehrlein and Ed Platt from the i3Detroit hackerspace created the Mind Flame mind activated flamethrower; today they put to good use in a tournament that pits brain against brain. A little taste of what’s going on at the third Maker Faire Detroit this morning.

A set of student capstone projects demonstrating assistive technology from the Mechanical Engineering department at the University of Detroit Mercy were on display inside the museum. Tom Malinowski filled a big blue bin with some of the obscure analog instruments in his basement and brought them out to Maker Faire. I particularly liked the Atari Punk Console in the antique radio and the Modutronic Messmaker synth.
