Matt Oehrlein and Ed Platt from the i3Detroit hackerspace created the Mind Flame mind activated flamethrower; today they put to good use in a tournament that pits brain against brain. A set of student capstone projects demonstrating assistive technology from the Mechanical Engineering department at the University of Detroit Mercy were on display inside the museum.
