Maker Camp will make some noise today as we meet the taiko drummers of Wadaiko Newark who will show us how to make a taiko drum using a classic oak barrel design, construction-site salvaged PVC, or a water barrel.
We’ll be joined by Sue Eustice, founding Member of Wadaiko Newark. Wadaiko Newark is a Taiko group formed in cooperation with the Newark Unified School District and serving the people in Alameda County in California.

Today’s project is all about making music, too: the sound-o-light speakers. It’s a simple PVC pipe speaker system with surprisingly good sound.
Hear, and see, it all right here at 11am PST on Google+.
