Laser-Cut a Drag Chain

Martin Raynsford made this drag chain out of parts he laser-cut out of 2mm MDF. A drag chain protects wires from snagging, usually on constructs that move, like the toolhead of a CNC router. Sure, you could buy a drag chain, but with Martin’s design you could design the perfect one and make it as long or short as you want.

Martin has created a bunch of cool projects like this Mechanical Donkey Kong game. He’s got a lot more on his website. [via DangPro]

Any body know where to buy ‘laser friendly plywood’ in the states? His supplier is in the UK.
