Excerpt from the article:
LightUp founders Josh Chan and Tarun Pondicherry are at a turning point. They are LightUp’s only two employees, so far, but they’re both working full-time now. They don’t have an office, yet, and are punching the clock at home or in local coffee shops. That plus a website where folks can place pre-orders is about all there is to the infrastructure of LightUp, Inc. For now.
Their product is a modular electronic construction kit that uses magnets to snap together for easy, kid-friendly assembly. It’s supplemented with a smartphone app that lets users see how electricity flows through their circuits and provides help through an interactive tutor.
It’s supposed to ship in a matter of weeks.
