Did you know that shrink plastic film now comes in a printable version? This news definitely blows the mind of my inner 10-year-old. Turns out, my pal Mark Montano was pretty geeked too, because his latest video tutorial combines printed vintage images and shrink plastic magic, creating a lovely DIY Shrinky Dink butterfly necklace!

Ready to get started? You can download the butterfly template on Mark Montano’s blog. If you’re not into black and white, you can also add some color before you bake. (I generally use Micron pens to color my shrink plastic projects.)
