It’s dangerous to go alone (and sometimes chilly) in the world of adventure, so take this quilt!  Keep warm with a quilt adorned with symbols from the popular 1986 classic Nintendo fantasy adventure game, Legend of Zelda.

Based on the original design by Heather Villareal, crafter “slamberina” crowned the top of the quilt with the Triforce (the fan favorite triangular magic relic that’s central to the game’s plot).  There are quilted words from the Book of Medora, and she also incorporated iconic images from the game like Link’s sword and jeweled rupees.

Next to her signature on the back she included the memorable words uttered at the onset of the game’s great adventure, “It’s dangerous to go alone! Take this.” Thus a hero is armed and a lucky gamer fan is warmed by the craft and style of this legendary gift.

A labor of love, Amber spent 6 months in her basement lair sewing by hand and machine. She included hand embroidery, machine piecing, and quilting. Check out more pictures of her handiwork here.

Please edit this content to reflect that the featured quilt is actually a copy of my original design; crafter slamberina did NOT design this quilt, she copied my quilt, originally posted here http://quiltingonawhim.blogspot.com.br/2013/05/finished-collaboration-mother-son.html in 2013 and uploaded/linked on my personal Pinterest page, from where she copied it. Please revise this content to reflect this.

Hi Heather, so sorry to have misattributed the design. I’d be happy to update it for you. May I ask for your last name to include in the credit?

thanks so much. Yes, my last name is Villareal, and the original quilt can be seen at the link I included in my first comment. She has also edited her blog to reflect this. Thank you!
