DiResta: Embossing a Journal

I was in Muji a few weeks ago and I purchased these journals from their stationery section. It occurred to me to emboss the front of the journals. I used the same designs I used for the silkscreen video, with Ipe hard wood because I wanted a strong sharp edge around the graphic.

It took a few experiments to figure the correct amount of leather to use. Next time, I’ll make the wood dies a little deeper than 0.03. Thank you, and enjoy!
